Today's technology offers so many options to choose from:  headsets, hand-held microphones, desk-top microphones, wireless and more.

With [Dragon Medical Practice Edition ](https://www.mindwareconnections.com/Dragon-medical-Rochester-Buffalo-Syracuse-Albany-0/)or [Dragon Naturally Speaking 11](https://www.mindwareconnections.com/Dragon-software-packages-Rochester-Buffalo-Syracuse-Albany/), adding a new source to an existing profile is easy!  Just follow these simple steps:

- Plug the New Device Into Your Computer
- Launch Dragon
- Click Profile/Add Audio Source to Current User Profile
- Choose the Dictation Source you want to add
- Click OK

Once you complete the audio calibration you will be on your way!

There are many audio input devices to choose from.  If you are searching for an audio source that fits your needs, please see our list of [top recommendations](//).  For a manufacturer's approved list, go to [http://support.nuance.com/compatibility/](http://support.nuance.com/compatibility/).
